Spoiler Treatment

There is a special place in hell for those you wantonly spoil television shows, novels, movies, etc.  I'll be careful to avoid spoiling folks just as I would not want to be spoiled.

I'll do my best to start each post listing the shows mentioned.  So you can decide then and there if it's not worth the risk to keep reading.

I'll also spoiler tag the text with a black text background, which sometimes works and sometimes leaves the text legible if you look at it long enough.  So if you're concerned, don't stare at it.  If you're not concerned you can read it by highlighting the tagged text with your cursor.  If there is a better way to tag things that doesn't require much computer knowledge, I'm open to it.

I will take care to avoid spoiling anything, with the strictest treatment toward what is currently airing.  I tend to jump around with what I'm watching, so there may be a 1994 NYPD Blue episode thrown in here or there that won't require as much care.

It is impossible to talk about currently airing episodes without discussing the characters as they currently sit in the series, so that will not be considered a spoiler (e.g. Carver eventually receives a promotion in The Wire) but how events transpire and the major plot points that move characters to those states would be (e.g. also from The Wire: Season One, Carver is the rat to Burrell, working on the promise of a promotion to sergeant).  That way viewers going back and catching up on episodes of shows already aired can still use their discretion to take care, as well as enjoy shows' defining moments.
